Butler & Co design and build wooden boats like no others. As a general rule, we don't build strict historical replicas, and we believe that wooden boats are to be used; their beauty must be underpinned by seaworthy, workhorse practicality. Often the shipwrights of the bygone age knew a thing or two about building a sound, seaworthy vessel. We build our new vessels with the same ethos, traditional skills, techniques and materials, but we don't overlook the need to fit in with modern owners and lifestyles. We take the best of the vessels we love, creating a new, unique merger of form and function. Our designs are the best of the golden age, brought into the present.
